280 Students need help for education

School Background (In Thai)

โรงเรียนรุ่งอรุณได้ประกาศเปิดเรียนวันที่  8  มกราคม 2001  โดยที่อาจารย์ กุศล ต่อติด และทีมงาน ได้รับใช้พระเจ้าในเขตตำบล แม่กาษา และ มีสถานที่ใน หมู่ 10 บ้านแม่กื้ดใหม่ ต้องการประกาศข่าวประเสริฐของพระเยซูคริสต์เจ้าให้กับทุกคน และได้เห็นความเดือดร้อนความต้องการของเด็กๆ กระเหรี่ยง – พม่า ที่อาศัยในหมู่บ้าน ตามทุ่งนา ที่สามารถเดินมาเรียนได้ จะได้เรียนหนังสือ จึงได้ปรึกษาหารือในคริสตจักร เพื่อเปิดโรงเรียน โดยเริ่มชักชวนเด็กๆ มาเรียนหนังสือ ซึ่งก็มี เด็ก ประมาณ 10 – 20 คน มีครู 2 คน
ในการเริ่มครั้งแรกได้ใช้ทุนส่วนตัวของ อาจารย์ กุศล  ต่อติด และ เงินคริสตจักรบางส่วน ต่อมาก็มีแขกมาเยี่ยม และบริจาคสิ่งของ สมุด ปากกา เลี้ยงขนมเด็กๆ บ้าง และ บางคนก็มอบเงินบ้าง แต่ยังไม่ต่อเนื่อง การเรียนการสอนเป็นไปอย่างเรียบง่าย สอนเพื่อให้อ่านออกเขียนได้ ทั้งภาษาไทย ภาษากระเหรี่ยง ภาษาพม่า เลขคณิต ซึ่งก่อนเรียนจะมีการนมัสการพระเจ้าก่อน  อุปกรณ์ ก็ไม่มีอะไรมากมาย  มีกระดานดำ และ ช๊อกเขียน และต่อมาเมื่อมีการสนับสนุนเพิ่มขึ้นก็มีอาคารดีกว่าเดิม, มีนักเรียนเพิ่มขึ้น,มีรถรับส่งนักเรียน และมีครูเพิ่มขึ้น แต่ทั้งนี้ทางโรงเรียนยังมีความเดือดร้องต้องการความช่วยเหลือ ด้านเงินทุนมากขึ้น เพราะรายจ่ายกับรายรับยังห่างกันมาก

1. เพื่อเป็นการรับใช้พระเยซูคริสต์
2. เพื่อช่วยเหลื่อเด็กยากจนที่ไม่ได้เรียนหนังสือ
3. ช่วยเหลือ และพัฒนาสังคมประเทศชาติ

1. เปิดโรงเรียนสอนเด็กยากจนขาดโอกาส ได้เรียนหนังสือ ในเขตพื้นที่ตำบลแม่กาษา อ.แม่สอด จ. ตาก
2. ช่วยเหลื่อผู้ประสบปัญหาความลำบาก เจ็บป่วย ในเขตตำบล แม่กาษา

เริ่มโครงการโรงเรียนรุ่งอรุณ
วันที่ 8 มกราคม  2001  มีการหยุด และ เปิดเรียน เหมือนกับโรงเรียนไทย แต่ดำเนินการสอนผสมระหว่าง พม่า - ไทย

งบประมาณ Finance
         ได้รับจากการบริจาค จากผู้มีจิตมี  เมตตา กรุณา เด็กนักเรียนไม่จ่ายค่าเรียน และไม่ได้รับเงินจากรัฐบาล (ตอนแรกไม่มีผู้สนับสนุนประจำ) แต่ปัจจุมีผู้สนับสนุนประจำ 2 ที่ คือ Children on the edge เริ่มสนับสนุนปี 2007 ประมาณ  40,000 บาทต่อเดือน และ Child Action เริ่มสนับสนุนปี 2005 ประมาณ  20,000 บาทต่อเดือน แต่ยังไม่พอต่อการใช้จ่าย จึงจำเป็นต้องขอเพิ่ม

หมู่ 10 บ้านแม่กื้ดใหม่  ต. แม่กาษา อ. แม่สอด จ. ตาก (เป็นที่ดินเจ้าของเดิมคือ นายทา  ยาโนยะ ได้มอบให้กับพระเจ้า โดยมี อาจารย์ 3 ท่านรับในใบโฉนด  แต่ต่อมาท่านไม่ได้ใช้  อาจารย์กุศล  ต่อติด  ซึ่งเป็นลูกเขย จึงขออนุญาต ใช้โดยไม่เสียค่าใดๆ)

School Background (In English)

Morning Glory School was opening on January 8, 2001 by Pastor Kusol Totid and teams. First vision that “we serve the Lord Jesus Christ in MaeKaSa subdistrist and we see many Burmese and Karen children did not go to school and no school support them. So we are God people and God teach us for help other and then we start school. And in the beginning I ask help from 2 ladies one is Burmese and one is Karen, I’m sorry that I forgot their names. We start by simple by invite children around our church or near by a bout 10 -20 students. And I have 2 teachers and pay 3,000 THB by myself. Even that time I have small income. I ask our church support other pay as classrooms need. We use the old church building.
After that we have brothers and sisters in Christ visit and pray for us. And some support us for sometime. And some organizations visit us in later and start support us as resident. We also expand help children, as invite another villages and we have school truck for pick us them. Somebody will not understand the situation here. Because, these children are irregular in Thailand.  So their life very difficult. They need help.
Vision   

1. we start this school as serve the Lord Jesus Christ
2. Help Brumes and Karen Children who live in the boarder as Maekasa subdistist have education. (15 village)
3. For support and develop people in our area.

Mission

1. Teacher children for read and write in Burmese Thai Karen and English
2. help students learn more other subjects, as Math, science, geography, health, etc

Help children parents in basic help as take them to hospital, and etc.

School Finance
         We get support from the kindness people to help us. We not get any money from students. We have not any from government.
 (in the first 2 year, I (Michael) use my own support for teachers’ salary and church support for equipments) but now we have 2 organization as Children on the edge to start support on 2007 about 40,000 ThB per month and Child Action start support on 2005 about 20,000 ThB per month. And we also have sometime give from visitors. We thank for the kindness. May God bless you. But we still need more,

1 Director, 2 head teachers ( one for kindergarten and one for primary school), 7 teachers and 280 students. (our student is not stable on school all time as in the rain season their parents have good work and they live in the same area but on summer time not much works so they need to move and find new work but 70% still at school)

The old owner is Mr. Thar Yanoya and he gave this land for God through the organization and then they are devoice so the land emty. Till I ask the leader for use for church and school so they allow.

We have 10   teachers. 

What subjects are being taught?
Burmese, Thai, Karen, English, Math, science and social.

What method does the school use for selecting students?

1. Task books
2. Blackboard and chalk
3. Pictures
4. Teachers’ knowledge

What is the timing of the school day?

1. 8.30  -   15.30  o’clock
2. And we are change subjects and teachers for 45minutes.
3. We always start pick up students at 6 o’clock in the morning and take them back finish till 5 o’clock in the evening.
4. There are 4 trips in the morning and 4 trips in the evening. (2 truck)
5. Its’ far for 4 trips around 100 kms. And 2 round trips’ mean 200 kms. Per day.
6. We have teachers drive and one take care students in the back of the track.

What good things have happened this year?

7. We got the feedback from parents very good, they are very happy that their children can read and write in language, especially Burmese and Thai.
8. We saw some of our children finish school and they can work better than other children who can not speak and read Thai.
9.  We sew many students more clean and good health because we train them and give them good medicines from Doctor Jonathon who come every month to look after health care.

What has the school achieved?

10. We are so proud with our students that they can read and write.
11. They can take care themselves in the morning for meeting worship God and teach bibles and pray.
12. Our teachers understand more how to teach and train students and more unity.
13. Parents truth us more and very good join hands.

What problems has the school faced?
How did the school overcome them?
Transportation:  

1. We need big truck to pick up our students. Because we have more students.
2.  We have rented the track but not enough, Security of children also very important; our students got accident, fall down from the truck and very bad now. his mother mad on us. Yes, we took him to hospital and pay for medicine.

We usually have a teacher man on the track’s back but the students play together and felt down. We need one more big track for solve this problem.
Classroom;
We have 7 classrooms, but our classrooms very small and old. When the rain come and the wine blow the classrooms still get wet and students still difficult. And children very lound.
So we need more classrooms and fix the old classrooms.
Equipments;

1. Students need task books for Burmese, Thai, and English and also they need work book too. But we can not help them;
2. we just have the hand books for teachers.
3. But some of our students’ parent bought for their children, so because everyone no have, then the system of teaching and learning is not good.
4. We need have for the task book and work books. The cost per student around 200 baht per term.

Library and  office;
We have not library for students’ reading or searching. And also have not office for teachers working. 
House for Teachers and Students;
We have some rooms for Teachers and students who stay at school but not enough, now teachers and students stay together in the same room. It’s not comfortable for long stay, they need more privet rooms. So we need the house or rooms for more privet.
